one in a million - bosson

One in a million by Bosson

You're one in a million
Oh
Now
You're one in a million
Oh

Sometimes love can hit you every day
Sometimes you can fall for everyone you see
Only one can really make me stay
A sign from the sky
Said to me

[Chorus]
You're one in a million
You're once in a lifetime
You made me discover one of the stars above us
You're one in a million
You're once in a lifetime
You made me discover one of the stars above us

I've been looking for that special one
And I've been searching for someone to give my love
And when I thought that all the hope was gone
You smile, there you were and I was gone

I always will remember how I felt that day
A feeling indescribable to me
Yeah
I always knew there was an answer for my prayer
And you, you're the one, the one for me

[Chorus x 2]

I was cool and everything was possible
They tried to catch me but it wasn't possible
No one could hurt me it was my game
Until I met you baby and we're the same
And when you didn't want me, I wanted you
Because the finer thing about it was I like the show
I like it when its difficult I like it when it's hard
You know it's worth it that you found your heart

[Chorus x 2]

You're one in a million
Oh
You're one in a million

Newbie singer takes on Claire de la Fuente original

MANILA - Neophyte singer Myrus is out to make a name for himself. To do it, he is taking on Claire de la Fuente's song "Sayang" and putting his own unique twist to the ballad.

Is Claire happy about his rendition?

“Of course. Tita Claire appreciates what I did to her song. I should know. I always talk to her,” said Myrus, an on-leave Mass Communication student at the De La Salle University in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

Before he recorded the song, he said he consulted with de la Fuente and asked for her advice.

“I first asked her about my interpretation. She listened personally to my version and right there and then, she approved of it,” he said.

Why “Sayang” of all songs when he could always choose from an array of original sounds?

“Because it was a rare song among popular ones,” he answered.

To begin with, it's a song meant for a female singer and her pitch is different from his.

“We adjusted the pitch and matched it with the quality of my voice. It wasn't easy, though,” Myrus shared.

“Sayang” is one of the local songs hitting the music charts with so much appreciation especially from the younger set of generation.

“I would like to embrace all types of listeners,” said Myrus.

Because of the popularity of the song, the singer is eventually being sought out, too.

This is the reason why Myrus had to miss his schooling. “Sayang naman po ng break,” exclaimed the 19-year-old balladeer who was discovered in Friendster.

Myrus is one of the guest performers in the benefit concert “Echoes of Dreams,” a show dedicated to the care and understanding of marginalized sectors of society like drug dependents who want to renew their lives, autistic and Down syndrome kids, sexually abused boys and girls and other special children.

The gig, scheduled at the Big Dome on November 31, will also feature as guests international star Lea Salonga and child wonder Clark Gamol.

World renowned marimba player, Tumtum Mendoza, who has autism, will also perform together with lady singer Samara.

Echoes of Dreams : Lea Salonga leaves for Las Vegas

MANILA - International star Lea Salonga on Sunday left for Las Vegas to do a concert in Nevada.

She is also slated to do a show in Bangkok, Thailand in September.

“I am very happy with all the blessings which come my way. At least, I am still able to work,” said Salonga on Friday night at Palms Country Club in Alabang during the launch of “Echoes of Dreams.”

“Echoes of Dreams” is a benefit show that will be held on November 30 at the Araneta Coliseum where she will do five songs as a guest performer.

“Touring around entails a lot of activities and would probably dry up your energy, how are you preparing for your show with Ai Ai de las Alas?” this writer asked Salonga.

“Oh, excuse me, it’s my show,” she immediately clarified, laughingly though, referring to her “Your Songs” concert in December.

“Oh, I thought it’s a back-to-back show with Ai Ai,” we easily stood corrected.

“I just got her as guest,” Salonga said straightforwardly trying to poke fun on the issue. “But of course, it would be fun doing the show with her. I don’t know what would happen but I guess it would be exciting.”

Salonga said De las Alas will definitely supply the comic relief.

“Your Songs” will be Salonga’s big solo concert this year. The concert will take place from December 11 to 12 at 8 p.m. It will be different from her previous shows since, for the first time, the repertoire will be composed of requests sent in by her fans.

Salonga said the No.1 request so far is “Bayan Ko” following her heartfelt rendition of the song during the funeral of former president Corazon Aquino.

She said: “I don’t know yet if it would be my finale song. Let’s see. But they can still send in their requests.... I don’t know how we will put things together but I know this will work.”

As of this writing, 18,000 people have already registered in Salonga’s Web site.

“It’s just easy. You just fill up the form and put in the song you would like me to sing in my concert. Or you can send in your video. Just drop your name and message,” she invited.

Her fans and supporters can still send in their requests through her Web site until September 30.
